As for steps in the flight of stairs, I’d guess around five, because the stage is not that elevated. Need to be able to walk across the stage too, which is darn big. So you better be careful!

From what I remember, you leave your seat (as long as you’re not the first in the row, then no worries; just follow blindly the person in front of you), go via some side door exit to end up queueing outside the hall; there your attendance is re-checked. Then you slowly move along to the side of the stage, till your name is called out and your name gets flashed on the screen onstage, so you get lik

like 2 seconds of glory.

Walk up the steps > cross the stage to where the dean or whoever is> shake hisr hand> accept the empty scroll> thank himr> bow> walk offstage> down the steps> exit the hall> check your name again> get the actual scroll> walk back to your seat. DONE! Then pose and take loads of pics all over NUS in your gown!
