fried rice paradise

Wednesday (16 February) was JJ’s last day at work, so I treated her to lunch at the little old-fashioned restaurant downstairs, called Ka-Soh Seafood Restaurant. Neither of us had ever eaten there before!

She had been going on for quite some time about craving fried rice, so I ordered Yangzhou fried rice for two and black pepper venison.

According to JJ, good fried rice must be 粒粒分明. The Yangzhou fried rice was chock-full of goodies like char siew and prawns. Delicious! Although the serving looked rather small, it was very filling! And it definitely had that desirable wok hei flavour!

The black pepper venison pretty good as well. The black pepper taste wasn’t very strong. I liked that the meat was chewy and not gamey.

We only had two dishes but were completely satiated! A very satisfying lunch!!!
