short and sweet

A recent letter from Today newspaper – short and sweet, but nonetheless thought-provoking:

This is why we see few flags
From Lester-Leon Lee

I refer to the letter “Too few flags being flown” (Aug 3). I believe this is due to the inconvenience and risks.

I could get into trouble if I wrongly hang the National Flag, hang it with laundry, hang it creased or faded. When it is worn out, I cannot simply toss it out.

There would not be a problem if I do not own the Flag. So, I will just love my country in my heart.
