the wisdom of children’s literature

A month ago, Kang Hao sent Ming Zhen and I the following image, evidently from 9GAG:

mewtwo

He later commented that he actually hated everything about Pokemon other than Mewtwo. Its words of wisdom actually made me recall two quotes from Albus Dumbledore in the Harry Potter series……

To Harry Potter in The Chamber of Secrets: ‘It is our choices, Harry, that show what we truly are, far more than our abilities.’

And to Cornelius Fudge, Minister of Magic, in The Goblet of Fire: ‘You place too much importance, and you always have done, on the so-called purity of blood! You fail to recognize that it matters not what someone is born, but what they grow to be!’
